As a junior mechanical engineer you are:
- Comfortable working in parametric CAD, such as Onshape or Solidworks (we use Onshape)
- Enthusiastic about user-centered product design
- Curious about how things work and how to make things better
- A thorough tester and documenter, meticulous about crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s
- Effective at balancing proactive independent work and team collaboration
- Hands-on and able to work effectively and creatively in a small shop with limited tools
Some experience with fabrication techniques, including sheet metal, injection molding, machining, and metal extrusions is preferred. These skills include DFMA, drawing creation, communicating with suppliers, and incorporating their feedback.
